Yes we have scans for the volume 12 release.
And well I've done all the editing stuff already *gasp*
Cover, index, Extra artpages, scan resolution fuckups, etc etc all DONE!
So... basically all we need is a good QC of the phases 72,73,74,75,76,77,78 (yes that 7 phases... there goes the phase/volume syncing once again!)
If you have found something odd, out of place or grammar errors then please report!
*Glaring at Sergio for being our grammar guru*
I'm sure there is stuff that needs fixing!
I hope we can put volume 12 out REAL soon!
PS:
Need a translation of the omake.
This is the CHINESE version!!!
If someone can make a scan of the Japanese that would be great!
Qualitywise: cam/phone will do as long as the text is readable!
Hi-Q is still better so i can use it for editing

translation, or at least an attempt at it
===========================
reading from right to left (rightmost 4-koma first)
title: your gaze has 1 megavolt
1: your lives are already in my hands
(more correctly: the right to your lives is something that i control now)
2: "here comes" [effect = "Kachink"]
3: "here comes", (small letter): petrify beam!
4: mbadi: mirror reflection!! [effect = "Kachink"]
title: just kidding punch!! number 1
1: this punch will absolutely.... not reach me!!
2: effect
3: hehe
4: alita: I forgot to turn off the {gas}
mbadi: when going out, don't forget!
(note: "gas" in this case usually means the stoves, yes, we chinese, japanese too it seems, like to call our stove "gas", as in methane burning gas)
title: just kidding punch!! number 2
1: (same stuff)
2: (same)
3: hehe
4: alita: found 100 yen!!
(reference purpose: 100 Japanese yen = 1.1046 U.S. dollars)
mbadi: look upward when walking!!
(note: mbadi here i think he means "eyes on the road when walking")
small letters: lucky!
title: just kidding punch!! number 3
panel 1 2 3 is the same....
4: alita: your zipper is down. (small letter: heehee)
mbadi: Mbadi...cannot stand up again
(note: i am not really sure what mbadi trying to say, but literally, it translate to above)
the tiny little letters in the bottom left of the page: "next phase: <something> of Mars"
(note: i have no idea what that <something> here means, it pronounces "O-ba-Tsu"....so that makes O-ba-tsu of Mars, the chinese version says "the mysterious ancient artifact of mars", but i am going to say that sounds pretty made up...)
==========================================
and that is for the page... haha, you guys are making me good at reading japanese now , i can *almost* recognize all the letters without referencing the alphabet.
Gone the extra mile re-aligning text, and removing most of the cut-
offs since they don't look good
But basicly its done.
I'l post a RC to our regulars QC's tomorrow.
I don't want another v3 :/

That got me wondering too.
Maybe meaning "2 things" but she only mentions 1 thing

Stirs <-> forces ?
pages 121-122

Yeah that image looked weird to me also.
Either the stuff grew, or she shrank.

Hehe, nah, Sergio is way better with grammar. If he says its wrong, its allright.
Btw.: I was thinking we could/ should make a note, that "Dr. Warez" was named "Dr. Vares" in earlier releases to avoid confusion.
@page 093: Alita: "Second"
---> maybe she means it like: first: You mustn't suspend our war of independence, second: The winner gains souvereignty over Tiphares and Scrapyard. But then her "first" and "second" are quite some pages away from each other.
Sorry I've been absent this few months, but being a financial consultant and managing a few people's accounts in this recession isn't easy and doesn't leave me much time to do other stuff.
Anyways just dropping by and checking how's everything.
page 127
Once more, I question my fist. - comma (or ellipsis)
How good is karate? [[Actually, this has already been discussed. More than once. My problem is that the original phrase sounds strange to me. Anyway, I admit that my English is far from perfect.]]
Going back to the original discussion on why I translated that phrase as "<Toji: What good is Karate!?>".
Sergio changed the whole meaning of it. In his case it's questioning karate in a quantitative sense or if his karate skills are good/high enough. And going back to "What good is Karate!?" it is qualitative using a figure of speech. If you want it plain and simple change it to "What kind of good is my karate?" or "What kind of benefit does my Karate bring!?" but then again it's adding/changing a lot of words the original japanese didn't have. Sergio is changing it to an adjective quantifying his karate skills. I'm using good as a noun, read the meaning 1 & 2 here http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/good#Noun
Really, a manga isn't a piece of literature, a lot of the dialogues are written just the way people speak. If we are nitpicky with grammar we wouldn't have expressions like "What the fuck!" or "My bad", Yoda speak, or "So said we all!" from Battlestar Galactica comes to my mind.
" Power Nuke Karate: The Japanese name is "Dounen Karate". It's a reference to the former Japanese "Power Reactor and Nuclear Fuel Development Corporation (PNC)" and which name is abbreviated to "Dounen" in Japanes. Another direct reference is the name of the representative named Plut (Puruto in katakana); the PNC had a mascot named "Puruto-kun" which would be translated as Mr. Plutonium; it was featured in some badly criticized advertising campaigns. More in depth information at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_Reac ... orporation "
p.165: "Power Nuke Corp Karate - Pluto"(?) Looking at the other names, Pluto (puruto) sounds better instead of Plut
p.84: empty bubble on Zekkas shoulder I put back in the original kanji thingie.
If a quick translation is possible I'll swap
*sloppy gyuin* or *juin* ?????
@page 093: Alita: "Second"
---> maybe she means it like: first: You mustn't suspend our war of independence, second: The winner gains souvereignty over Tiphares and Scrapyard. But then her "first" and "second" are quite some pages away from each other. Yes probably
First she yells "This contest is our war of independance. I won't let you suspend it!" Then she punshes mbadi.
<-- insert long tale of dr warez plus some misc ass kicking -->
"Second. I'll have you make a promise in front of all the members here"
I think that's how it should read, but the <-- --> is rather longwinded so the connection might be lost.
I still need a minor translation of the omake
*solved* Picture matching -> "Yabe".
With some help it means "dangerous"
If all goes well and no further remarks then i'l put it out in a day or 2.

Yes it's "dangerous" but "That's not good!" would fit better.
Reading Sergio's corrections the page 138 is the same case as my previous post.
Both lines are "What good is this fist..." and "What good is this karate...", japanese text for both lines is almost the same only changed fist for karate. And my statement remains the same, it's using good as a noun and I translated it as close to Toji's wording. If you don't like the phrasing use "What kind of good is..."
Cailon wrote:p.183: footnote: "[...] with a density of 19 g/cm?3 [...]"

It's 19 g/cm^3 or 19g/cm³ or 19 grams per cubic centimeter. Hope any one of the three display correctly.

I'm using good as a noun.
Welcome back, friend!
A noun? All right! Now it makes sense to me.
I had not understood it as a noun, even because, as I said, my English is far from perfect. But I can see the meaning now.
Page 127: What good is karate!?
Page 134: What good is this fist... What good is karate... These are used.
19g/cm³ is used/fixed Its a bitch when fonts don't support certain things >_>
Yes it's "dangerous" but "That's not good!" would fit better. Probably, but all 3 omakes use 1 word to describe, so maybe dangerous fits better?
Heehee, Lucky, Dangerous.
Just a thought
