One more robot

Post by moooV »

Smoked people created another half-realistic robot.

Check out:

If it goes this way, Alita will be in 20-30 years from now. o_0

I've seen this video a year ago. It uses a combustion engine and makes lots of noise, but, yes, it's really cool, especially kicked on ice. =)))

It moves very real, ugliness can be covered by skin (something like a cow maybe), but only one thing is bad there - a combustion engine and it's awful sound. :?

Creeepyy!! i watched the second video a while ago and thought it was a prank. Now I see this girl, please tell me its a crazy cosplayer doing the Mr. Machine- Breakdance! usually I'm a fan of robots but when I see this...
Well its the same with CGI. It becomes more and more real, in a way its the fear of losing control of what's real and what's not...

When we, in 30 years, will all have robots in our houses, doing the dirty housework, my robot'll look like the latest jovian model in GLO. Nothing to confuse with a real living thing here^^

I read something about computers.
2013, the best computer will be as smart as a human being.
2049, a ordinary 1000$ computer will be as smart as the human population.

skynet, here we come!

If you're interested, I advise you to read some Ray Kurtzweil. He is a great futurologist, I really hope his predictions will come true during my life. =)))

PS.
By the way, robot HRP-4C, which is a subject of this topic, runs under Linux. =)))
