Tidying up the Forum.

I've been wondering if it would be possible to tidy up the Battle Angel Alita - Last Order forum.

Currently everything related to the BAA Universe is discussed in one big Folder where it could be sorted into Subfolders like: RAW's, RAW Translation Script's, Other Stories, Rumors, etc...
I'd also say make all the RAW Thread's sticky till they're translated and once done have it replaced by a "Phase xx RELEASED!"

Maybe even go that far sorting them into Volumes like:
VOLUME 12 - RELEASED!

VOLUME 13 - 83% Done
Phase 78 - Translated
Phase 79 - Translated
Phase 80 - Translated
Phase 81 - Translated
Phase 82 - Translated
Phase 83 - RAW + unofficial Translation Script

VOLUME 14 - 0% Done
Phase 84 - RAW
Phase 85 - RAW
Phase 86 - RAW ( unusable )
Phase 87 - RAW ( bad quality )
Phase 88 - RAW
Phase 89 - RAW ( bad quality ) + unofficial Translation Script

VOLUME 15 - 0% Done
Phase 90 - RAW

I believe it would really help out to be a more attractive place translators and cleaners might take a look into.

I don't think that is a good idea, I'll explain it further.

If you change the folder system, navigation will only become harder. Moreover, it will become a one big tree of mess and produce topics with posts like f.e. "you've chosen the wrong forum, this topic should be moved". It's a plague of forums with a big subdivision rate. Also, there is not enough topics and they're not differentiated enough to be separated into groups.

Also, making topic sticky causes it's popularity loss, because it's usually omitted when your eye scans the page, because static posts are usually made sticky (rules, announcements, and so on.), so you skip them.
I've already proven it - I've requested making my topic sticky in another tree of this forum because I knew this effect, and it worked.

Take a look: this forum consists of 4 subforums (C&S, 404, Uc, BAA-LO), the first three are visually skipped, because they're separated into block. Their popularity is taken by the last one, which is the biggest. It's the sticky effect once again.

So you see, your suggestion is not right. It would be even better to join all subforums into the last, making a big pile. It is possible only because this forum is not big enough - it won't cause inconvenience. It's easier to navigate in one big list than in a tree consisting of lots small branches (remember rule of three clicks).

What about your percent idea - it's good, although I've used similar thing in my signature about a month ago (see it.).
