Text:
Jupiter Toposphere
Orbital Dynamo

panel 2
Jovian: The ZOTT finals are about to start!

Page 02
panel 1
Jovian: What is the status of "Operation: Glass Cat"? Report!

Text:
Advance Unit Mind Collective - Constituent Brain
Buhanov C-182

panel 2
Jovian: Primary quantum analysis of "Black Cat" complete. Data processing at 94%.
Jovian: Allow me to show you a model.

panel 3
Jovian: Even though it is our enemy, it's still quite a marvelous entity.

panel 5
Buhanov: You worthless incompetent!!
Jovian: Gyah!

panel 6
Buhanov: Haven't you seen the broadcasts?

Page 03
Buhanov: It looks nothing like that!!
Text: As the finals progress, plots are being hatched...!!
Title: Operation: Glass Cat

Page 04
panel 1
Jovian: I've been in here all night...
Jovian: Besides, that should serve adequately for the visual representation of the quantum model!!

panel 2
Buhanov: I see.
Buhanov: You have disappointed me, Muravyov.

panel 3
Buhanov: The Advance Unit Mind Collective has just reached a consensus.
Buhanov: Your mismanagement has cost us both the ZOTT and this dynamo. You will be stripped of your rank and reassigned to Europa.
Muravyov: Wha...!?

panel 4
Muravyov: w...Wait! I was only assigned here three days ago!!
Muravyov: How could this by my fault!?

panel 5
Buhanov: Your predecessor was killed in action by the enemy's nanomachine attack.
Buhanov: Someone has to take the blame, that's how the system works.

Page 05
panel 1
Muravyov: N...No...

panel 2
Muravyov: I don't want to go to Europaaaaaaa!!

panel 3
Buhanov: In view of recent events, the Advance Unit Mind Collective will be taking direct control of this counterattack!
Buhanov: I, Buhanov C-182, will henceforth assume command of "Operation: Glass Cat"!!

Page 06
panel 1
Buhanov: The objective of this plan is to inflict just retribution upon this despicable "Black Cat"...
Buhanov: Which by means of an underhanded nanomachine attack has robbed us of our technology and military secrets!!

panel 2
Buhanov: But, comrades! "Black Cat" is as quick as a shadow!!
Buhanov: Only through your diligent observation and calculation will we be able to capture it and pin it down like the insect it is!

panel 3
Buhanov: Once all of the measurements are complete, we will use the hijacked wormhole to activate the "Buhanov Effect".
Buhanov: "Black Cat" will then become "Glass Cat"!!

Page 07
panel 1
Buhanov: Time is of the essence, comrades!
Buhanov: According to our simulations, it should take no more than 3.21 seconds for "Black Cat" to kill its enemy.
SFX: clack clack

panel 2
Buhanov: However...
Buhanov: Cats do tend to toy with their prey...

Page 09
panel 3
Gerambo: Toji gets back up and attempts to take the fight to the air!
Gerambo: And he's shot down!!

Page 10
panel 1
Toji: Something like a bullet went through my body...
Toji: It wasn't an oscillatory wave or plasma...
Toji: What in the world was that technique...!?

panel 2
Alita: I'll call it "Javelin* Palm"!!
Alita: I made an anti-tank shell in my palm by exciting the electrons to form an explosive.
Alita: I can't fire more than one at a time, but it still seems pretty useful.

Footnote: *Shaped Charge: A chemical explosive technology mainly used in anti-tank shells. They are constructed by forming the explosive into
a bowl shape and placing a plate of metal over it. Because of the Munroe Effect, when it is detonated the energy accumulates in the center
of the bowl before blasting through the plate, propelling a jet of molten metal outwards at speeds capable of penetrating armor.

Translator's Note: The Javelin is a modern anti-tank missile employing shaped charge technology. "Shaped Charge Palm" just didn't have much of a
ring to it.

Page 11
panel 1
Alita: Obviously, I didn't target your vitals, though.
Alita: See, I'm not done playing with you yet.

panel 2
Alita: Hahaha
Alita: Ha

panel 3
Toji: It seems...
Toji: That I have been going about this the wrong way...

panel 4
Toji: A clumsy oaf like me...

Page 12
panel 3
Gerambo: Ah!?

Page 13
panel 2
Gerambo: Just as Alita's attack connected...
Gerambo: She was blown back!?

panel 3
Hopper: Ah! That's...!!

Page 14
Toji: Super Crustaceous Style: Three Battles Stance!!

Translator's Note: "Three Battles" refers to the mastery of mind, body, and spirit that every martial artist must overcome to become a master.

Page 15
panel 1
Toji: A clumsy oaf like me shouldn't have been trying to become the cat...
Toji: But the rat instead!!

panel 2
Toji: The mighty rat that could defeat even its natural predators!!

Page 16
panel 1
Taraba: Out of all the styles of karate, Super Crustaceous Karate and Hyper Electromagnetic Karate are fairly similar.
Taraba: It should be possible for you to learn Super Crustaceous Karate's Three Battles Stance!!

panel 2
Taraba: Put simply, the Super Crustaceous Three Battles Stance is not a method of training your technique.
Taraba: Rather, there are secrets to using your body to its full potential.

panel 3
Taraba: Specifically, the artificial muscles all over your body! By using them as Tesla coils...
Taraba: You make a barrier space around your body with scalar waves...creating an absolute defense!

Page 17
panel 1
Taraba: Because every person's body is different...
Taraba: You must practice until you find the perfect frequency for your scalar waves.

panel 2
Taraba: You must look inside yourself until you can grasp how to turn your entire body into a tensed spring.
Taraba: Karate is deep stuff!! Hahaha!!

Page 18
panel 1
Toji: I will never be as great a warrior as you were, Taraba...
Toji: But if it's all right with you, I'm going to use your Three Battles Stance!!

panel 2
Toji: Alita...I respect you deeply.
Toji: I may be a few steps behind you when it comes to martial ability...but I have no intention of surrendering!!

Page 24

panel 3
Sechs: That's it!!

Page 25

Sechs: It's the style you used when you first fought Homme du Feu, isn't it!?

panel 2
Zekka: Hehehe...
Zekka: I guess I can't shut you up with brawl mode...
Zekka: That old guy's new-model body is pretty tough, after all.

Page 26
panel 1
Zekka: My weaknesses are underestimating my opponent and being easily provoked...
Zekka: When some shithead newbie makes me snap, I go into "brawl mode", the way I used to fight when I was a kid.

panel 2
Zekka: But I'm not about to correct my weaknesses!
Zekka: Even flawed I'm invincible!!
Zekka: That's what it is to be a man!!
Sechs: Well said...
Sechs: (says the guy that got punted by Homme du Feu)

Page 27
panel 1
Sechs: I heard from Gramps...
Sechs: You have this crazy special move called "dragonslayer" or something...
Sechs: But even though you spent decades learning it, you've never found anyone to use it on.

panel 2
Sechs: If that's not all just a bluff, try it on me!!

Page 28
panel 1
Sechs: If I could see a super-cool technique like that...
Sechs: Even if I was vaporized on the spot, it would be worth it!!

panel 2
Zekka: Don't push your luck
Zekka: ...Fuckin' kid

Zekka: A simple hook is more than enough to beat you!!

Oh fucking wow. I knew the Jovians were up to something. Also, attacking with a shaped charge explosive made from your own body? Hahaha.

Long time, no write... hahaha. OK, it's a bad joke.

Here are my corrections:

Page 04

Buhanov: You have disappointed me Muravyov.//You have disappointed me, Muravyov.

Page 05
panel 3
Buhanov: In view of recent events, the Advance Unit Mind Collective will be taking direct supervision of this counterattack!//In view of recent events, the Advance Unit Mind Collective will be taking direct control of this counterattack! (I think it sounds better)

I didn't find many errors. Maybe Sergio can find more.

Well now... That **might** be a little too optimistic :). Pages 15, 22 and 23 are the only ones left, but they're a little tricky to redraw. So, maybe next weed-end, dunno...

I apologize for disappearance, but I will soon be back, believe me.

I'm not sure if toposphere is a word, but troposphere is something different. The toposphere is actually the thing they're building around Jupiter, the troposhpere is a layer of the atmosphere.

The colon is just a naming convention.

"Gyah!" is onomatopoeia, it's a scream of pain.

I looked it up, it was named toposphere before (vol. 03, page 79)
Image

Btw: I found Paul Birch's website on wikipedia, never paid attention to that earlier. All the planet-modifications in GLO are based on his works. And in his article on Supramundane Planets he also names it toposphere ("a neologism from the Greek topos, place, and sphaira, sphere, region"). I haven't read the whole thing, just those first few breaks, though.

And Paul Birch seems to be the guy who first proposed the orbital ring theory!
Supposed to be a scientist.
