This sucks so damn much. Kon was easily one of the greatest directors of Japan. He was producing amazing movies in an industry that has lately been plagued with mediocrity. This is a serious blow to not only the anime industry, but to movies in general. He kept outdoing himself with every project. I will miss the hell out of his awesomeness. R.I.P Satoshi Kon.

It is a lie. He has not died. Artists are immortal. Shakespeare has not died, neither has Sergei Einseisntein, to start with.
What makes you believe Satoshi Kon is dead?

All artist's works live past them, but he wont be creating anymore, and that's the sad part.

Shame on me for I didn't know who he was.
And I've never seen Perfect Blue ore Paprika but heard only praise. Plus, I like old school animes, with only little CGI. It'S about time to catch up with this when I find the time.

All of his work is great, but my favorite is his TV show Paranoia Agent.
