What Gunnm / Battle Angel stuff/merchandise do you have?

I have almost the entirety of Viz's individual-comic run of BAA (not collected in graphic novels -- the individual issues).

Also have several of the Japanese tankobon, and several Ultra Jump collections (from right before she started fighting Anomaly).

Plus a couple other things. The poseable figure for instance. Almost got a picture with Kishiro at a signing, but didn't happen. Oh well.

Autographs never seemed valuable to me. The best Yukito signature would be an Alita sketch by his own hands, this would be priceless to me =)

I don't know about you, but I would CERTAINLY consider a picture of mine with Kishiro as a trophy.
It is simply like that and much more than an autograph. Is is that difficult to your understanding?

YOU were talking about pictures, I was talking about autographs! A picture with Kishiro (you + him) is valuable for sure, but a picture of him alone with his signature on it isn't that valuable to me. An issue of BAA or GLO signed by him is valuable too, but an sketch is more precious tha any of that stuff, got it?

OH. I also forgot, probably one of the more interesting aspects of my collection .__.;

I've been starting to collect commissions by artists (Adam Hughes, Greg Horn, Joseph Michael Lisner, Tommy Castillo etc etc)

I'm collecting Alita/Gally/Yoko art work done by the pros xD (If it's possible and if I can afford it - - Adam Hughes costs about 400 bucks for a basic color...)

But I have this really beautiful ink 3/4 body drawing of Alita done by David Mack. :'D And I'm collecting more!

They're really excellent for the detail alone, plus all the added features (Bonus story, art etc) ! I love, love LOVE his artwork and these are wonderful to examine finer details.

They're really excellent for the detail alone, plus all the added features (Bonus story, art etc) ! I love, love LOVE his artwork and these are wonderful to examine finer details.

Not a comission, if I could ask Yukito himself to do an Alita's sketch, he should do it for free. If he wanted financial compensation I would back off, even if I got the money.

I think a good fanart as this one http://stuff.rippersanime.com/IMGBoard/ ... 352477.jpg is more valuable than an Adam Hughes' drawing of Alita. Hughes really knows and love the character? This is just something he would be doing for money.

I have the limited edition action figure of Gally (and obviously AS with it), all of the post-2000 Viz Media publications, including the hardcover editions (not worth the money!), the OVA, and will soon have Battle Angel Alita Part 7 (the vol. 8 comics, which are the size of American comics, not just the American manga!), and soon Battle angel Alita Last Order Part 1 #'s 4, 5, and 6.

I went to Amazon, and they had one of the LO comics, for $85.00!!! It's a sixth of the first manga of LO! But then I went to an online comic shop, and got it for $0.80! So happy!

I agree entirely on this. All images (no matter of their quality and author's notability) not by YK can only be called a fanart, but not GUNNM. Collecting them is pointless.

I agree also. However, I'd like to add something from myself:

1) A picture with YK (%person% + him) is a great treasure only for that person. For everyone else, it's nothing at all.
2) A picture of him alone with an autograph isn't valuable, but the same picture with a PERSONIFIED autograph (like this: "I, YK, am presenting this picture of me to my huge fan %person%. My signature: %signature%") is a great treasure only for that person. Just like the previous case.
3) An issue with his autograph alone is a bit valuable. Let's say that it raises it's price 2-5 times. However, if a signature is PERSONIFIED - see previous case.
4) A sketch would be an incredible, outstanding treasure. It would be priceless. If it would be signed and personified - then, well, that person will be the luckiest guy in the world.
