Re: no Mars Chronicle log 33 this week
Come on guys it is only a little delay, let's let Kishiro celebrate the movie adaptation of his life's work fora bit. this is in no was as dire a situation as when he had trouble with his former publisher about the reissue of the series. When the series went on a hiatus for a year around the vampire arch, I really thought the series was going to finish abruptly, without a proper ending. And finally kishiro managed to complete Last order, so let's us not be impatient, infuriating as it may be he still hasn't quit.
Et le coureur à bout de force ... fut accuelli par une tempête de tollés!!!

I'm surprised there was a year hiatus in the vampire arch, I just assume Last order serialisation was very smooth, as the only time I knew the series went on long hiatus was the 100 chapter incident. Guess him taking long breaks isn't too usual. He will come back though, don't know when but eventually as he is in good health, he seems distracted by his dogs at the moment and/or his reviewing his plans for Mars Chronicles story direction. I am very thankful to read this franchise in 2014, didn't have to suffer the first two series hiatus patterns.litchi master wrote: Wed May 29, 2019 1:14 am Come on guys it is only a little delay, let's let Kishiro celebrate the movie adaptation of his life's work fora bit. this is in no was as dire a situation as when he had trouble with his former publisher about the reissue of the series. I don't think he's very busy with the movie issue anymore, unless they are secretely working on the sequel, which at the moment seem possible, since the movie did beyond expectations despite not so much give the huge costs, the new fan base is still very entusiastic and the presales of the blueray seem to have skyrocketed. Yet no one announced anything and Disney seem to be somewhat hostile to the project.
So my guess, for this long iatus is that he has personal reasons, some crisys of motivation or inspiration or he is putting himself foreward with the work to be able to have more regular releasing schedule in future. We shouldn't forget that Kishiro's tables are really top quality.

I think there will be a sequel
Re: no Mars Chronicle log 33 this week
Could be, decent chance. But even if it was a sure thing i don't think it would be something to get Kishiro's time so much already. I presume they already discussed about a possible script for a possible sequel when they arranged the first movie. They even casted Norton to play Nova for like half a minute, we can assume they had plans for if there would have been a sequel.

I am worried that he basically wrapped up the Alita origin which he had laid out in the video game and now he we're done.
