Of course. Lusos and Teutonics are civilized enough to write in an alphabetical code.
By the way, would you join my campaign? I intend to invade Japan, sequester the emperor, and release him only after they abandon that absurd writing salad and adhere to Latin writing - once for all, I mean, as they are used to playing with our written code as if they were children at play.

I'd like to agree with you Sergio but I am afraid diversity is humanity both despair and salvation. Trying to make no diversity will save humanity from its selfdestruction but will lose the essence of mankind.
Yeah... Let's do it like you do. Make wilde assumptions about where ppl come from and/or how annoying they are about a language beeing translated into weirdness.
Shit, I should have put joke quotes around this!

Assumptions is basically what everyone does here, you made the assumption that I/ppl wouldn't know anything about Switzerland and that I/ppl am/are stupid enough in the case I/ppl wouldn't know, to not look it up somewhere...

Assuming that Swiss-Germans do not speak formal German is not that far from reality...

To answer to your last comment, to be honest I don't give a f*** to the accuracy of the translation Targa is doing, that's way enough sufficient for me to understand the meaning of the chapter as I will anyway buy the manga as soon as it gets out. What you could say is that I should put a contribution for the others who wants to read it, but I think some people here are much more efficient and capable than me when it comes to English accuracy.

1. That was only a joke, Sam, nothing else.
2. Although I do consider that writing code inaccurate and problematic, I do respect diversity and, yes, they have the right to write the rite they want, and that is none of anyone else's business.

YES! Add me to your legion!
"When we crash the gates of Heaven I'll take the point!"
(Plastic Little- The Adventures of Captain Tita)
SERGIO IS CORRECT! I forgot to add ROMANJI to that list.
So that makes four different means of writing, and no concrete rules to guide you in Romanjis proper use.
Despite all the rules and history there is still an accepted improper use of Nouns and Verbs.
For example Gally, (sounds like Galley), is GARY in Romanji.
GONZU-"Wait a minuet, wasn't that your cat? Wasn't he a boy?"
English does not directly translate all nice and clean.
One of my favorite comments when in the Army-
"Never assume anything. when you do you make an ASS of U and ME."
For to win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the acme of skill.
To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill.

That one is better than mine (they have the right to write the rite they want). Hiragana and katakana are able to make even the saints crazy (besides, they have two syllabaries to say exactly the same, while many things are simply not said  ).
