Well, Panzer Kunst uses a lot of palm strikes, so it looks alike, but i think that to perform th P.K. you need to have a cyborg body, in the first place, which Damjan has not. It also reminds me a lot of Figure 4 fighting style.

True , my idea was a connection that would connect Erika back to the Panzer Kunster. And it looks like he doesn't care about dying buy the posion so I suppose he has something special in him ( cybernetics)

But he was drugged and even said he felt the effects, his body was sweating a lot, something a cybernetic person wouldn't have

You are pointing out behaviors he could have pretended them. And I don't know the level of cybernetics in his body, maybe just internal organs ? or just main muscles.

I feel a simple human would not take the job or feel so cocky to an enemy.

hmm I guess I see your point like espionage and he wants to see the treasure first before he starts attacking, so he puts on a facade. The sweating is probably the author showing emotions rather than actual sweat glands. Also thinking about it he was knowledgeable in contributing with Erica with solving the treasure puzzle.

Plus like you said a single person entering the castle and even having knowledge of finding Muster castle wouldn't be a simple human in the first place.

It would make some sense if Damjan relates with Panzer Kunst. The palm strikes and also how his associate/partner Elsa was probably willing to sacrifice herself for the mission or some other explaination that will be revealed later as that it the mind set for most kunstlers.

Sucidal missions seem quite a standard in Panzer Kunst. Odd beavour for students that dedicate their lives to perfect a martial art. Yet, if they were considered terrorists, there must have been some reason. They start to resemble the assassins sect.

He lasted to long for to be a suicide mission , he could have killed them long time ago, he stuck until they found the elisir , and didn't kill the prof or the girl as soon as he could. He must have a plan that involves getting out and delivering the elisir.

I always assumed the Panzer Kunst where a assassins sect.

Just a idea bolted me , what if he instead works for the old men that is now with Alita? We could finally reunite them and than go to panzer school.

I believe that she went under another name to cover her identity. The Dornburg are a wealthy and powerful family full of enemies. Or maybe is given to her to avoid problems

Pretty sure "von der Rasierklinge" was never her last name. It was just a title given to her because she was proficient with blades in combat. "Dornburg" is her actual last name.

Wow, really? She's definitely supposed to be Japanese.

Although, now that I think about it, there's a good chance that she's half Japanese, half German. But I guess we won't really know for sure until more information is revealed about the Dornburg family.

My point. Initially i assumed she was ethnically japanese, since her name is Yoko. But even before i presumed she was japanese because it was a manga.

But then mars appears to be a mostly german enviroment, as well as venus is french and jupiter is russian. And Yoko, tumor or not, is martian.

We'll see what kishiro has in mind.

The same confusion reaches me about salemites. They are most definately a nordic phototipe, all blond and fair eyed. But then... Ido Daisuke? While everyone else on salem appear to have westener names?

About her name, I remember Zikroy (not sure of the spelling though) referring to her as Yoko De Klinge (in french), but that might just have a been a new name given to a Kunstler.

By the way anyone thinking that her mother is not really her mother? It felt like kind of strange to see them bonded like that. I even always thought that she did not know her parents at all from the beginning, like being an engineered child (which could explain the mechanic body for a child of this age, that everyone else seems surprised about)

Well in the first chapter Doktor did ask Yoko what her parent's name and she shook her head left and right indicating she doesn't know or where her home is. I don't think Yoko has any biological parent. She seems to be an artificial being as there is a lot of emphasise she is not human.

Interesting chapter, but I feel like Yukito is focusing more on plot rather than character development. I feel like the whole series was beloved for having both not one way or the other.

PS. They should call this Battle Angel Erika instead of Battle Angel Alita with the route this story is going at the moment

Gally asn't been the main character in years. Since the original Gunnm, actually.

First of all, Gally is never actually present in Last Order, until the few last panels. The Gally that goes through the entire Last Order is an Alita replica with a brain chip of Gally just like Sechs, 11 and 12. Let's say an AR 2.0, because of the Imaginos body and the lack of the mind conditioning that the Alita Replicas showed.

And even that considered, at last from the beginning of the ZoT, Gally becomes an almost marginal character. In part because the editor ordered Kishiro (as far as i know) to turn Last Order in a plain "kick some big ass" shonen with a male protagonist (Sechs), in part, i think, because Kishiro is now more intrested in writing stories about its world then to carry on with Gally's.

And that's an intresting approach after all. Gally had her story. It began with Ido pulling her out of the trash and it ended with Desti Nova blowing her with a bomb while she was going back to Fig.4. It had then a happy ending one year after (in story time) with her meeting again Fig.4 in her brand new rigenerated biological body (pinocchio ending again, yeah!).

Now we are discovering new stories and learning more about Yoko/Gally's past. But even if and when we are getting back to the "present", let's not forget that we are still dealing with the AR 2.0, not with the actual Gally, who i wonder if we will see again in the pages (maybe with toddlers and a haproon).

Oh yeah I forgot about the story structure in Last Order. It even gave character development to side characters like Vilma(vampire) and Olympe the gynoid. I feel like Last order was very similar to Hunter X Hunter in terms of being bloated with very lengthy explanation that although have some interesting facts it doesn't add much to the battle angel alita universe.

He even did it recently with tremaux algorithm, the editor for that chapter should have asked him to remove it completely as it was pretty meaningless and added no value to the story.(although interesting) The first battle angel doesn't resort to lengthy explaination such as that one.

I've met Chinese girls (ethnically saying) who are British subjects. So what? Yoko could be Japanese descendant and even be Martian, why not?

Why aren't I surprised? Every time you make a comment here, no matter what, you are always complaining and saying negative things. The story is always wrong, the drawings are always bad, the plot is stupid and the characters lack meaning. I dare say you would be strongly disappointed if you couldn't find something to complain in any release. You are a very eccentric sort of fan, to say the least.
