Finally part 2 is out the door.
Interesting chapter indeed.
Spoiler:
It at least explains muster's hate towards Kagura, and that will only get worse.
Betrayal lies ahead i'm afraid.
And knowing Kishiro, he'll kill of all the cute ones, so bye bye Nollin ;_;
This chapter also reveals a more acurate naming, so we also did a v2 of the previous chapter.
Be sure to visit that thread and download it.
What do we desire of life in this world?
What do we desire?
What do we have to show for ourselves?
We accomplish nothing if we fear failure.
If only we could be
stronger...
An enjoyable and interesting chapter. The only thing that surprises me is how Johan is surprising calm and compassionate compared to when he was laughing and allowing his dog to eat Erica's arm off. It's like two completely different people. Muster I understand as he has an extreme hatred towards Kagura
Thank you very much for the chapter, it is a very nice development.
Concerning Johan I do not think it odd that He changed character. the events happened before Erica was born. So at least 9 years before, filled with frustration, anxiety of being a fugitive, jealousy due to having a prostitute for a lover (maybe he even doubts Erica is his daughter hence his cruelty towards her), and alcoholism explain a lot. To that let's add that he was already a wanted felon from the time he left the army... it seems pretty logical to me, the character clearly isn't the one in focus here, but I can see where he comes from.
Et le coureur à bout de force ... fut accuelli par une tempête de tollés!!!
Now, for the next chapter, it could start a new flashback about the childwood of Lady Kagura that helps to understand why she is so ready to burn everyone alive, that shows her strict and abusive mother. And then a flashback about Kagura's mother facing the harshness of the early years of martian colonization that turns her on the mean woman she would be. That could open a new flashback about the first martian settlers arriving from Jeru by the first starships, and then a flashback about the great endeavour of building those starship which would have lead mankind to colonize the solar sistem, but them we could start a flashback about a distant ancestor of one of those builders who lived in the earth before the disaster and then another flash back about...

When you put it that way I can't help but think this is going to be like Inception but flashback version LOL
There is something I don't understand. Kagura left with the stock, but somehow it ended up with Johan who has taken Porwit as prisoner and was in a firefight with the guards during(?) and right after the explosion. Kagura left just before the bombs went off (with the stock). It doesn't add up.

Maybe she gave it to the chamberlain girl and that's when you Johan capture her as hostage, I mean you see the chamberlain holding the suitcase as well
Since Kagura and Muster were the only people who have maske tumor. I assume the cause of it is from those beautiful coloured dust when Itall opened the coffin. It seems to imply it.
Well, seems pretty much the intent to imply that the colored dust was some sort of maske tumor trap intent to.. punish? those who recover the scepter. Probably Muster and Kagura are the only 2 person that where in that room and who lived long enough to develope the condition.
