Sechs Spin-off?

Post by RockyRaccoon »

Hey Guys,

So I don't know about you guys but when I was reading the ZOTT Tournament arc I couldn't help but absolutely LOVE sechs as a main character and I really can't help but feel that I really want to read more stories with him as the protagonist! I almost feel like it'd just be a completely missed opportunity for there to not be a spin-off dedicated to such a great character who has so many more potential stories to tell considering the fact that he was so young and inexperienced compared to the others in the ZOTT Tournament arc. Am I the only one that feels this way???

If Yukito Kishiro hired another writer to do it, it might be possible otherwise he seems to be busy at the moment

Sechs Spin-no-thank-you :D

Jokes apart, Sechs turned out to be a great character even if too much seinen-standard when the editor imposed the change of tone on Kishiro that made the ZOT damn endless and i'm sure that K. could do yet much with the character. But K. need to keep focused on Gunnm. I would like to see the end of it before, you know, retirement, maybe? :D

That's actually what I was thinking of, or maybe even after he's done with Gunnm since Part 3 is supposed to be the final part isn't it? I mean there's so much stories that could be told within this world even after gunnm is over that I feel like it'd be a missed opportunity for him to not further develop the world and the characters.

Well Kodansha might try a spinoff depending how well deluxe/mars chronicles sells as ghost in the shell got deluxe editions but we never got laughing man s.a.c., arise ~sleepless eye~, but ghost in the shell has global neural network releasing in september which has 3 western writers doing 50+ page interpretations. The only writer's work i've seen was brenden & he made batgirl boring so I'm expecting kodansha to at least have 2 out of the 3 works be interesting. I'd expect Yukito though to write script & just let another artist do the scripts so it wouldn't be same as global neural network release.

dunno, Zechs was a nice way to illustrate some aspect of the brainchips clones but I'm not sure I want to read exclusive story with him. Good for comedy but I'm not a fan of hot head MCs.
