Thank you for the chapter!
And, uhh, sorry to be that person, but I'm kinda glad this arc is finally over.

Don't be sorry I'm pretty sure some feels the same, I wish he showed us the important question like present alita story, panzer kunst first, rather than throwing curve balls at us like that.Silvery wrote:Thank you for the chapter!

Also I think kagura is the most undeveloped antagonist in the whole series so far
Re: Gunnm - Mars Chronicle 031 (part 2) Is out!
Thanks. It's finally over. This arc seems to have taken years, and there are still threats dangling (like the Mars treasure).
Is there any (interessting) news on the upcoming movie?

Goodby Muster. You have been a pointless, utterly endless subplot no one wanted, but we loved you.

Thank you

it was better than the orphanage arc, the only interesting thing in that arc is alita being an orakel and the potential about flammarion, also the only thing i learnt from Muster arc, is showing how erica is going to become a bitch and the secret treasure whenever that will show up for god knows how longkamugin wrote:We?!? Re: Gunnm - Mars Chronicle 031 (part 2) Is out!
To me, what you call "the orphanage arc" is nothing but part of Muster's arch and that ruthless killing of children was on the bad taste side. With it's slug progression, annoying main character (in spite of not being totally uninteresting), lame action sequences, far stretched plot to explain Yoko's origin and many unanswered questios left, this arch deserves 7/10 rotten tomatoes!00_unit wrote: it was better than the orphanage arc, the only interesting thing in that arc is alita being an orakel and the potential about flammarion, also the only thing i learnt from Muster arc, is showing how erica is going to become a bitch and the secret treasure whenever that will show up for god knows how long

Hopefully, the we'll get the "grand drama" that was promised soon enough, if it can do something like Steins;gate (not 0 as that is much inferior) where it has an extremely slow start but get much better later on I would be very happy, if not then Kishiro will become the very man he was inspired by, which is Frank Miller where they both become good writers and later on much worst. Also to answer your question I think a lot of people will consider zott the worst arc, not me personally as I enjoyed it a lot as I guess I'm one of the minority.kamugin wrote:To me, what you call "the orphanage arc" is nothing but part of Muster's arch and that ruthless killing of children was on the bad taste side. I've loved it. I hope YK goes nuts at Panzer Kunst High. I hope YK is a Naruto fan. This is Gally's origin...we wanted it. It isn't simple.
Re: Gunnm - Mars Chronicle 031 (part 2) Is out!
I think you guys are being too harsh. I can't rate the Muster arc compared to the rest. I feel different things about them at different times. Both the Vilma back story arc and the Zott both seemed interminable. But I've made my peace with them.

Don't you understand? We like to be harsh! (Me at least, there are a lot of soft and tender harted guys here) If I were to read Muster's arch after it was finished, at once, probably I wouldn’t hate it so much, I would just feel it was inferior to the previous arches, probably it will leave a feeling that Kishiro lost his touch.

Re: Gunnm - Mars Chronicle 031 (part 2) Is out!
I hated that zoey did that too actually, convenient plot armour, also we have an old saying we boo ,because we want to cheer in other words we criticise to see improvements , I tend not to feel angry when I see series quality but rather sad and disappointed as I love this series too much to show anger.kamugin wrote: Tue Nov 13, 2018 2:07 amDon't you understand? Re: Gunnm - Mars Chronicle 031 (part 2) Is out!
I didn't mind the Muster arc as a concept, but it would've been better if it was summarized into a single book. I mean, consider that this past arc was only maybe a couple months of Yoko's story at most, and yet it covers like 4 or 5 books... but the whole history of the Farrells, the family who basically set this world in motion (along with the Vampires), covering some 100 years, filled only two books. As much as I will never not enjoy Kishiro's work, his sense of pacing definitely needs some work.
Re: Gunnm - Mars Chronicle 031 (part 2) Is out!
My theory, that I've mentioned in the past, is that Kishiro was tired of Gunnm, he wanted to drawn a different kind of story, however he couldn't put Gunnm on hiatus. Kentaro Miura is always putting Berserk on hold, so meanwhile he could drawn his own mecha story: "Gigantomachia" that wasn't bad by itself and lasted just one volume, in spite of he left a hook that can make him go back to it later. Kishiro, by his time, wanted to drawn some pirate story with treasure hunt and all (perhaps he is a fan of "One Piece"), so he crammed it into Gunnm to avoid putting it on hiatus.nick15 wrote: Sat Nov 17, 2018 7:23 am I didn't mind the Muster arc as a concept, but it would've been better if it was summarized into a single book. Re: Gunnm - Mars Chronicle 031 (part 2) Is out!
Hopefully this arc bring us to the panzer kunst training now. I really did get bored with that arc, I really feel like a big chunk of the plot was just... not plot. the story could have a few "back and forth" mini arcs cut and end at about the same point.I hope the panzer kunst politics are less convoluted.
Re: Gunnm - Mars Chronicle 031 (part 2) Is out!
I think the panzer kunst arc will be something like a panel at the end of one of the next arcs in which Kishiro will write "...and they spent the next 10 years training in Panzer Kunst". And then he'll start a new, totally unrelated, arc about a random homeless kid who wants to become the greatest fisher ever of the martian artificial lakes.

Good guess.MrFaber wrote: Sat Nov 24, 2018 2:25 am I think the panzer kunst arc will be something like a panel at the end of one of the next arcs in which Kishiro will write "...and they spent the next 10 years training in Panzer Kunst". Maybe he could also start a new arc telling the story of Tiger Sauer since when he was a baby saved by Caerula until becoming the funder of Panzer Kunst. Actually I would like to see the time when Aga Mbadi and Caerula were allies. There are so many interesting plots yet to be told, like when Doctor Warez was running amok... Instead what we got: At least five volumes of "The Extraordinaries Adventures of Baron Muster". Facepalm!

Re: Gunnm - Mars Chronicle 031 (part 2) Is out!
What I really think is Yukito seems to be more interested in his dogs than his own work right now, as he updates that of his blog more than his own manga right now talking about his dogs and making dog videos about his two dogs. I still want to see the city of nezher at the Indian ocean, secret treasure, that six eyed raven, Erica's note, and mostly panzer kunst.kamugin wrote: Sat Nov 17, 2018 7:55 amMy theory, that I've mentioned in the past, is that Kishiro was tired of Gunnm, he wanted to drawn a different kind of story, however he couldn't put Gunnm on hiatus. Pretty pathetic to see Erica became a bitch because of Muster, I was hoping because something grunthal did something to their students, that would have been more interesting.
