Ok, what's happening?
Does anyone have any new about what's going on? What are the reasons of this long hiatus?
Re: Ok, what's happening?
No one really knows, maybe he's relaxing watching more films, excited his battle angel film getting a dvd release date, also his dog video project, I think he is struggling to release another chapter like winds of winter is still not getting a release date at the momentMrFaber wrote: Wed Jun 26, 2019 9:43 pm Does anyone have any new about what's going on? Well, Winds of winter is the probably a more than one thousand page book and the 6th installment of an epic saga... and George RR martin is working on other projects on the side (like the fire and blood books which caught me off guard, where did those come from lol) when Kishiro has been thinking about this story for years (one only has to compare the original martian memory script and what we have today in last order and mars chronicle).
I have several theories, he is living the good life now that his work is acknowledged and pulling a Miura on us... or he is having a panic attack due to his newly found celebrity and exposure on social media and he is having trouble handling it.
Or maybe the script for the fairy island arch has been has been stolen and he is writing it again
Or he is actually dead and his brother is struggling to pick up the work where he left off
Or he is having writing problems and he wishes he hadn't revealed Alita's origins so early in the story and now finds himself in a dead end.
How does he handle present alita's reaction to the fact that she is a tumor? how and when does she discover that? does she even know it or is it a piece of information that only we are aware of? then how will she come by this information? I for one would have waited to reveal the truth, during a conversation with Erica where she is trying to unsettle alita by revealing something Muster told her long ago, and then taking advantage of her her innner turmoil to attack her. It would have made more sense. Because now even if this is a piece of intel only us are privy to, how does it not fall flat when she actually finds out about it.
Moreover what other revelation could have as much impact as this one on the whole story? and it is now out in the open, published and cannot be erased. So I think he has written himself in a creative dead end and is struggling to go on.

Et le coureur à bout de force ... fut accuelli par une tempête de tollés!!!
Re: Ok, what's happening?
The timing is right to just end it based on the framework he delivered over 20 years ago for the video game.
That would suck, because Panzer Kunst Junior High plus more Erica would be awesome but ... this forum really pointed out that there isn't enough of a backstory to deliver a Dasein that is both interesting and plausible, and maybe for himself he can't just whip up a new character from scratch with enough juice to have laid low across the time as defined. We know he'll sidetrack for a backstory...
Our strongest hope against my "There was a plan..." theory is that he did have a plan for that Venusian Gun thing that was in the painting 20+ years ago so he probably wants to give us that story.
He definitely likes to challenge himself with the story-telling challenges ... fan-sketch based characters ... commiting to the tumor/brain idea 20+ years ago and then telling that story, although I was expecting more than ...magic dust, magic disease and then poof, no story relevance but whatever ... (I wanted her to be a part of an active bio weapon research program that got out of hand ...he had 20 years to come up with something although he likes the idea of Martian Fairy tales that kind of challenge his pseudo-science timeline...)
I always thought he had a mental breakdown with all of that talk of health problems way back when and maybe the movie shook him up. It was supposed to be James Cameron for a loooong ass time...no way did Zalem look right .... just seeing his color covers and the anime...Zalem's skin is supposed to look like the Deathstar, not Cybertron.
Now that Disney owns the movie right and it is fighting for a weekend with the likes of Antman 3 ... is it too soon to hope for a reboot?

Re: Ok, what's happening?
Dang it Yukito promised us the end of an era and that the grand drama has just started implying what we have seen in this part is nothing compared to the upcoming storyline he has in stored for us. He had better not overhype the future storyline.
Also interesting theory I thought off

Spoiler:
Re: Ok, what's happening?
We never found out what was the secret of Mars.

The Secret of Mars is the actual receipt to cook the Spaghetti all'Amatriciana. The actual receipt, not the crap you find allover the world.
