Ripper,
I'm really sorry for asking this. You see, I recommended your site on the Animax blog that I do. However, someone wrote to me that there is a virus in your site.
He said, "hey rory ....if anyone asks u for the anime themes......dont giv em the rippers site....ders seems to be a serious virus in it "
I asked him to be specific about it especially since I have NEVER encountered any problems with your site before, whether it be viruses, spyware, etc.
Just thought I'd give you a heads up in case there is a potential problem.
Sincerely,
Rory

I was also thinking spyware. Most file sharing websites have spyware in them, although as I said, they never gave me any problems. But just in case, this Indian guy said that he found the virus in a Wolf's Rain Mp3.
Just between you and me, sometimes these kids can be soooo damned vague. They would complain to me about something and they don't give you the complete picture. Annoying that way. Sometimes, I really want to quit being a blogger for Animax. Sigh...

That's not due to their being kids, but to their being lusers. At work I encounter the same vagueness in reporting me their problems in PHD people older and younger than meroryheadmav wrote:Just between you and me, sometimes these kids can be soooo damned vague. Just google BOFH for (notsopractical) suggestions on how to deal with 'em

Either a false positive, or something else is infected on his end.
The files (mp3's) are on a hosting and have the same size/crc as my local ones.
My virusscanner = kaspersky up-to-date.
I never have trouble with spyware/trojans although i frequently scan for them.
Spybot / Windows Defender / Ad-Aware.
I guess its my way of using my computer along with protective software.
Maybe i should add a page, writing on how to keep you computer free of crap.
Mozilla firefox + Noscript addon. <-- i HATE IE v6,v7
Mike's no AD's host file. <-- a fresh hostfile that blocks ad servers with or without malware.
Decent virusscanner. NOD32, AVG, Kaspersky <-- You need one
Windows firewall. <-- better then nothing
NAT router. <-- blocks unwanted incomming traffic
Crap Cleaner. <-- removes all temp files, caches. Best way to rid of crap
Common sense. <-- severe lacking with some persons. They click anything
Scan torrent/p2p crap before you try... alot of virus infected stuff out there, mostly programs/cracks.
And if your really suspicious, run the program in a sandbox (virtual machine)
Its been YEARS since i had any malware/viruscrap.

Reply to Ripper and TCD
TO RIPPER: I told the guy that the problem may be on his end. Good thing he did not press the issue. He was getting to be pretty annoying. He even told me to chill out, would you believe? I've downloaded music from your site through the years and I've NEVER had any problems with both viruses, malware or spyware. KIDS!!!
TO TCD: Thanks for the rec on Google. Maybe you could recommend another site on how to control my temper with these kids.
