One reason is that his/her new body is even better then Alita?s imaginos body. Fizziroy body owns :)

Also, Sech's waist:hip ratio is now a lot closer to 1:1 than Alita's is. Alita's figure is like mine - skinnier waist, wider hips, and when I go jeans shopping the jeans in the Misses section are always too tight in the hips or too loose in the waist (even if they're low-waist). No wonder Alita wears ponchos instead so often.

So, maybe another one of Sechs's reasons for going boy is that she wanted to easily buy pants that fit...? ;)

Another Reason could be that he want to be different in this way to show that he is more than a mere copy.

If you remember in the motorball arc, there's a panel where Alita wanted to change her body to a man's since it would be stronger. But her mechanics persuaded her to keep her female form since it was a draw for the crowd. So it wouldn't be that farfetched that Sechs would want to change genders to favor strength, she simply had no one to persuade her not to.

hmm. Sechs always had a male personality, IMO. i think that the artist finally realized that when he changed Sechs's body to male. i think it's a good thing. it gives alita a counterpart/teammate that isn't totally weak, personality-wise. she had figure for a while, but he had to go. ;_;
