Weird Questions about Cyborgs/Androids.

Post by solarairhead »

These are questions that I haven't seen anyone ask yet. Questions that you'd never ask a cyborg/android for fear of being beated into a gorey oozing lump of jelly. If anyone can answer these questions please do. Just don't beat me into jelly!

Do cyborgs and androids poop? If so, do they ever get constipated or get diarreah?

Do cyborgs fart?

If nanobots can make a cyborg or android as close to human as possible while still retaining their cybernetic super powers, does that mean they need to use "protection" while having sex? Because one would think that a male cyborg would produce nano-semen.

Do cyborgs ever get a frozen headache from eating ice cream too fast? Since most of them have human brains... one would think if they gobble ice cream they would go "Aaaaaaagh! My brain! Ugh.. okay its gone." *eats more ice cream* "Aaaaaagh! Not again!"

If Alita's original Imaginos body was built to mimic a human body in which she had to excercise and work-out to build the nano-driven muscles and get stronger (As Deckman 99 told her in the first few phases. Though I forgot which one.) What if she decided to just... "let go" and start eating sweets, donuts, beer, and all sorts of nasty unhealty crap. What would happen to her body then? Would she turn into a fatass alita? Which leads me to my next question.

If Alita was depicted as an obese cyborg, how would her Panzer Kunst work out? Would she use her incredible weight to her avantage?

How would the characters in the series react to a morbidly obese Alita?

If Fatass Alita took part in Motorball, how would that work out? "OH MY GAWD! THERE'S A TRAIN BEHIND US!" ~ "NO DUMBASS! THATS NUMBER 99 ALITA! GO FASTER FASTER BEFORE SHE EATS US!" Alita: "FOOOOOOOD!"

I can't think of any other bizzare questions right now but I will post any more I can think of. Please post your own crazy questions or answers. >xD :P

The better question is what happens when Alita strokes out, turns into a zombie cyborg.

"Brains.......need brains"

Oh wait didn't we have that wormguy do that already...nevermind.

Definitly! If her wings grew up from subconciusness i think she would turn out in to some kind of pig-venusian-jovian cyborg. But mostly i think she would die. When she stoped belive in her humanity she fell apart. When she had some inner thoughts about her hoplesness she diverted into child (in mind). More i think to turn into this kind of thing she would need to develope some kind of gluttony and let go most of her agression.

With agression she would become like thisImage

Let's try some nerdish serious answer:

First of all, let's assume we are talking of a full cyborg, who's only "original" part is the brain. A different case would depend on what body parts are still biological.
Do cyborgs and androids poop? If so, do they ever get constipated or get diarreah?
According to one of the humoristic stripes from Kishiros, it looks like they do.
Do cyborgs fart?
If they eat (and we see that they do) and the poop (see point above) i guess they have to digest, and they produce methane too. So.. Probably not loudly.
If nanobots can make a cyborg or android as close to human as possible while still retaining their cybernetic super powers, does that mean they need to use "protection" while having sex? Because one would think that a male cyborg would produce nano-semen
Unlikely. Nano cells may mimic biological cells, but i doub they have a human compatible DNA or cromosomes.
Do cyborgs ever get a frozen headache from eating ice cream too fast? Since most of them have human brains... one would think if they gobble ice cream they would go "Aaaaaaagh! My brain! Ugh.. okay its gone." *eats more ice cream* "Aaaaaagh! Not again
I'm not familiar with the biological process that turns icecreams in headaches, but u can't break laws of phisics, so there is a thermo-shock an a pain feeling brain in a cyborg body. So, maybe.

We cannot presume that the imaginos cells are designed to gain weight too, which is a not an accidental process, but a survival strategy developed by biological entities. If Nova didn't find it usefull applied to Alita, he probably didn't waste time replying the process. Yet, Imaginos is designed to change shape in order to show Alita's pshycologic state. So, i guess, if she starts to feel like being fat she would become fat with no relation with food.
If Alita was depicted as an obese cyborg, how would her Panzer Kunst work out? Would she use her incredible weight to her avantage?
Weight never seeme to be a problem to cyborgs who are shown to lift gigantic stuff throughtout the manga. Yet, the altered shape of her body could interfere with her movement. (An belive me, being a fat martial artist myself i know something about the problem :P)
How would the characters in the series react to a morbidly obese Alita?

Uhm, rolling her like a barrel?
If Fatass Alita took part in Motorball, how would that work out? "OH MY GAWD! THERE'S A TRAIN BEHIND US!" ~ "NO DUMBASS! THATS NUMBER 99 ALITA! GO FASTER FASTER BEFORE SHE EATS US!" Alita: "FOOOOOOOD!"
I guess she would have been kinda like the turtle looking guy from the motorball stories.

Each tooth contains a nerve inside of it (that's why it hurts if you break it, or if it's sick) - when you eat an ice cream, teeth nerves get cold (but not enough for being anasthesised) and signal a pain, which you feel in your forehead.

As the cyborgs are unlikely to have nerves inside their teeth (by design), so the answer is: no, they don't feel the pain when they eat ice cream.

PS.
I never eat an ice cream the way teeth ache, but I eat a lot of ice cream usually. You're the first to mention this as a PROBLEM.

A "Brain freeze" has nothing to do with your actual brain, which has no nerve endings and therefore cannot feel pain.

Exactly.

I've seen a medical program on a TV several times, where doctors were performing an operation on an open brain of a patient to cure paralysis or something like that.

These operations are performed with a local anasthesy (to reduce the pain from taking off a part of a scalp and a small square piece of the skull), while the patient is CONSCIOUS. The doctor needs the patient to be conscious to tell him what he feels and if the paralysis has gone away.

Here's even a prooflink on something similar.

I've seen little to indicate that there are full cyborgs that can have sex.

Another question, can you tickle a cyborg? Do they even have a proper sense of touch? I guess that depends on the cyborg, Alita probably does have a sense of touch....

It depends on which part do u want to tickle.. :geek:

I think that touching sense is strictly necessary for cyborgs to maintain their sanity.
For example Yugo after loosing ... head :) he becomes insane.
Many "hard" cyborgs in Srapyard have "human like" hands to gain sense of touch? For example... Deckamns :P Also Alita's kissing with Yugo. Face can have this kind of input net in it.
"Soft machines" like Alita as zalems agent i think have sense of touch.
Jeru cyborgs (Qutsang) i think have strong sense of touch. When Qutsang is hitting Sechs she senses that he is like rubber ball. For example Toji, Zekka, most of karate masters may have sense of touch.. (Toji feels he is being cut!) Zekka feels Sechs is hitting him (Hertz hauen).
In my opinion its like tablet. U can have tablet with 1024 degrees of pen presure and with 12.

Humoristic example is rakkan and his boob sensation. As u can see he's fighting style is stricly oriented on use of fingers and bone-like hardened structure. In my opinion his fighting body parts are like exoskeleton. Specialy reinforced without sense of touch. Also you can see when he riped of his face. Face was made of different kind of material than rest of body.

to conclude. I think they have sense of touch but without sense of pain. :geek:

They need sense of pain to a degree to avoid breaking their bodies even more easily that they do.

Actually, there were references in both Battle Angel Alita and Last Order gag mangas that she did have to go for #2. There's even brilliant continuity between the two; first, Ido declared that nothing make you feel more like alive than pinching a loaf (and then went his way to install a Bowl Busting Brick BM guts into her), then after after the fight with Caerula Sanguis, she told (rather euphemistically) how she enjoyed "sitting on the john" after a fight. The follow-up made clear her business though, as she complained how she couldn't even poop in peace :D

i think poster is a moron : the whole point of becoming a cyborg is getting rid of the flesh...

in kuzutetsu people are cyborg'ed by force and to pay the surgery for the rest of their life, but zekka clearly said so to sechs : he forsaken his flesh and brain to a solid state body, in his quest of power. yet, he enjoys a drink at times :D

you choose your body to your convenience, or in gally's case she models it to her mood, and currently she is half-assed so her shape is incomplete in the last chapters...

having your technical body connected to your mind (and not to your reason) is a double faced coin : it can adapt to the situation (useful in battle) or amplify your nervous shockdown (vs nova X)

interesting call, may i say.

but that first post is plain stupid, for real.
