Re: True skin
Interesting video. All those short films are much more visionary than current scifi movies. Here'sanother one (totally unrelated though).
I recently read Peter F. hamilton's Commonwealth-Saga in which much of the things from the first video are incorporated. There, people have small chips in their head and every mornign they upload their memory into a safe storage unit. In case they "die", a clone will be produced and they only miss the time between their last memory-update and "death". Also retina-implants, a heavily augmented-reality-vision and reprofiling your body on a cellular level are common.
I wish scifi-filmmakers would use their heads sometimes to create visions of a more holistic future world like it is done in books or these short films. With "future stuff" happening just in the background, unrelevant to the plot, just because it's a normal thing in this future world. But they deliver lame futuristic worlds like in the new Total Recall or Loopers, bah. Even Prometheus was kinda lazy (not to speak of all the plot holes). Oh we have a self-aware android, a spaceship and a hologram, that's so futuristic already, why include more small gimmicks?

I dare say the narrative is Blade Runner-like. But, yes, it is an interesting visualization.
