Koppo is the Asian martial art that Figure Four uses. It was the martial art he used in the original manga.

It uses strikes, holds, and takedowns, which supposedly bypass an opponent's suit of armor and muscle, and damage directly the opponent’s internal organs, joints, and bones. The martial art is especially effective in close quarters, where the practitioner delivers strikes which originate at the elbow, making them faster than those using punches that originate at the shoulder.

Figure uses a modified version of Koppo to fight cyborgs, using strikes similar to the Hertza Haeon to directly attack the cyborg’s brain, stunning the cyborg, leaving him unconscious, or even killing him.

BTW, the Hertza Haeon is a Panzer Kunst technique that delivers a strike with high-frequency vibrations to the cyborg, bypassing the victim's cyborg armor, and concentrating kinetic energy that can be used to destroy, or at least disrupt function of, the brain or artificial heart.

Koppo is a very peculiar looking martial art.

Yeah, it does look pretty stupid; it looks like they're bitchslapping one another. It would be interesting though that, instead of delivering several weak strikes as quickly as possible, the Koppo strikes were quick, strong, single strikes such as a Karate chop or a KO boxing punch.
