Gotta love corruption in the postal system.

Not in the postal system, but everywhere. You are born with corruption, and you die with corruption - literally: your parents need to pay bribes in the maternity hospital to be sure that you will be born with care, and your children have to pay bribes to get a place for you on the graveyard (even if there are unoccupied places there) when you die.

You need a bribe to be accepted to kindergarden, then to school, then to graduate from school, then not to be taken into the army, then to enter the university, then to graduate from the university, then you have your own children who will need the same set of bribes. The circle closes.

I'm not even talking about medicine (you need to pay to get the right diagnosis), police (you can be stopped on the street for no reason and you will go to jail for a made up crime if you don't pay a bribe), driving license (nearly impossible to get without a bribe, even if you know everything flawlessly), everything. EVERYTHING.

Postal system... pfff, mere peanuts.

It was after Knucklehead and his men attacked the train and got owned. After the train's nuclear reactor blew it triggered a tornado that dropped Gally, Figure, and Yolg in the abandoned city where the Barjack attacked them.

This makes me happy, in some way. The last chapters of LO and the Zott left me with the idea Mr Kishiro had gone somehow soft and made the story more shounen than seinen.
At least we know the life on Earth is still the good ol' pit of despair and sadness we know and love.
Still wondering how all that will tie up with the "future" that is GLO first chapters.

Only one or two chapters to tie it up with the present seems rather short imo. When was the last time we saw Fogia and Ido in LO? Zott finale?
And they are currently in quite a mess.

I am hoping that YK doesn't do a redo of the original ending with Gally remaining in some odd transformed state then is reborn in human form when Figure shows up years later.

I won't consider the series over until the Gally and Figure wedding with Ido giving her away, Desty Nova incarnation whatever as best man, Koyomi as maid of honor, Tunpo officiating, and Kaos crying. And Jack Gerambo covering the whole thing for a Combat TV special with Vector broadcasting it throughout the Scrapyard.

I have a hunch the DNA Organ will have a *significant* part in the finale. I wonder though, how the chip-tuned Alita will resolve the slight case of cognitive dissonance of being a copy of herself.
