Re: GLO 112 Translation Script
I'm starting to think that we should send an email to yukito kishiro and ask directly to him how we should spell the most controversial names
I remember in te italian version the monster Anomaly was mispelled into Ano Maru. Which, in italian, can be read as "Maru the Anus", just to mention.
I also noticed that the name we take good as Don Fua, is spelled Donphyr in one of the panels from the Combat TV's ZOT transmission, which i assume was directly written by Kishiro.

Re: GLO 112 Translation Script
I know you have just made a joke, but as a matter of fact, if I were a Japanese editor/publisher, I would always have an onomastic index in Latin writing in order to avoid that sort of confusion in the several translations. Actually, I would have that even, or mainly, being a simple author. It is so simple that it is difficult to understand why they have never done that.MrFaber wrote:I'm starting to think that we should send an email to yukito kishiro and ask directly to him how we should spell the most controversial names
Re: GLO 112 Translation Script
Well, actually, i think it would be a good idea to write him, or at last to his publisher, if we have any chance to get an answer

A perfect idea, but isn't it already the time?Lemonlol wrote:First thing : Thank you for your translation ! Greatly appreciated, in these times of need.
But I don't think we can release ch112 without releasing ch111 before. So, don't worry if there's no ch112 released before quite some time, with your script. We're not that snobby !

Re: GLO 112 Translation Script
So what remains to be done with this chapter? Is the script considered satisfactory, or do we think it needs more work?
Re: GLO 112 Translation Script
This site is so dead...
Anyway, next phase (115) will be published in a few days at least.

Re: GLO 112 Translation Script
Why always complaining about the site is dead! Do you know an other one doing the translation of GLO?
If so just go there otherwise stop complaining or learn japanese.

Man, I'm not complaining about scanlations
I am whining about the lack of activity in general XD

Re: GLO 112 Translation Script
The lack of activity is quite true but when there is nothing to do but waiting, no need to waste our time just to speak in the air! (like we are doing now! I got some time to waste for this one!!!)

Re: GLO 112 Translation Script
There just doesn't seem to be much to talk about. Same goes when trying to have a conversation about GUNNM or Last Order on 4-chan. There are 12 replies then the thread lies around until it's gone.Abaddon wrote:Man, I'm not complaining about scanlationsI am whining about the lack of activity in general XD
Everything seems to have been said about the series and the current events just don't seem to be really interesting. One might say the whole of the tournament arc has made everyone passiv about the series.
Re: GLO 112 Translation Script
^You got a nice point there, besides the plot in LO is unnecessary slow for a thirty-pages-monthly-manga. And 4chan is just for some shit and giggles, never expect to have an interesting debate there
PS: Sorry for the off-topic.

A longtime ex-lurker here, who knows, maybe it'll make a difference!
Not that I in any way criticize the much-esteemed staff of Rippersanime Translation, but I think many will appreciate some statement about the current state of affairs. Are there some problems that need to be solved for scanlations to continue, or this is only a well-earned vacation?
In any case, I'll use this opportunity to thank you for all the hard work over the years, and wish you all the best!

Re: GLO 112 Translation Script
I am scared.
1. I cannot see the relation between phase 12 and that abnormality in the second picture.
2. Are there two instants of the same girl?

400kg? Do you mean 882lb?^Ripper wrote: Unless we are talking about the stereotypical American woman of 400 KG.

The only mental image I can find is a serious nightmare.
My erotic dream is weedy, malleable and is far from buxom, believe me.
